The Poggio Civetta Chianti Classico combines the modern Farnese group wine style with the flavors and structure of Chianti, creating a rather soft Sangiovese, but it's drier than the southern Italian wines of the company Fantini Farnese. 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon are used, the wine is aged for 9 months in barrels of various sizes before being bottled.
