Amethyst crystal flowers from Ametista do Sul formed over hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of years. They formed when silica saturated groundwater filled the narrow fissures in the basaltic volcanic rocks of the Serra Geral Formation (Lower Cretaceous in age). These beautiful amethyst crystals slowly
